South Africa Cape Town Kruger National Park
Truly a World in One Country, South Africa has something for everyone. Your tour begins in Cape Town, The Mother City, described by Sir Francis Drake as “The Fairest Cape in all The World”. A chic and vibrant city, great dining and diversity to suit all tastes. Shopping at its best at The V & A Waterfront, art galleries and museums abound. The City is guarded by the majestic Table Mountain, from the top you can get a 360 degree vista on The Cape itself.

Tours include Robben Island, the once island prison where Nelson Mandela spent many years incarcerated, now a Museum to Freedom. The Winelands, the east and west coast where during the months of May to December the great southern right wales can be seen. Up to a week can be spent in The Cape.

Then on to Johannesburg, a two hour flight. Why not treat yourself to a journey up through the country on a classic train, the most luxurious train in the world, shades of a bygone era of pure luxury, Rovos Rail.

Overnight in Johannesburg, at a five star Hotel in Sandton City. Options here include a further night and tours of The Gold Mine museum (Johannesburg was built out of the goldfields of The Witwatersrand) and a tour of Soweto.

Fly from Johannesburg to one of the luxury private safari lodges in The Greater Kruger National Park. Established in 1898 thanks to a great deal of foresight and concern for game destruction by President Paul Kruger. The Park is home to the big five and is world renowned for its wildlife. This is the true big game experience with professional guides, open side safari vehicles and pure luxury and indulgence in the safari camps.

For those lovers of bush and wildlife there are several other options of game reserves to travel to after Kruger, each with its own special offering.

The final stage of the tour is to travel by air to Kwa-Zulu Natal and the historic Zulu war battlefields. Rourkes Drift and Isandlawana stir memories of battles fought against the mighty Zulu Nation. The accommodation is in luxury lodges and the tours are carried out by seasoned guides who through their knowledge and love bring the battlefields back to life.
